Once you pass the initial gemstone trial, you encounter a second Magic Gate that tests your agricultural skills rather than your mining fortune. Solving this puzzle requires decrypting a riddle written on a stone tablet and planting the correct crops directly in front of the statues.
Understanding the Riddle Clues
The stone tablet beside the barrier gives a cryptic poem describing three specific items. It mentions one crop that grows underground, another that is gold and brown, and a final one described as red and round. Deciphering these hints translates directly to three essential seeds: carrot, wheat, and tomato.
Gathering the Required Seeds
Before planting anything in the cave, players must collect the correct seeds. Carrot seeds and wheat seeds are readily available at Goofy's stall located in the Peaceful Meadow biome. Tomato seeds can be purchased at Goofy's stall on Dazzle Beach. If the stalls are out of stock, clearing nearby Night Thorns often yields additional seed drops.
Planting and Growing the Crops Correctly
Head down into the Mystical Cave to the second Magic Gate where three dirt plots are waiting. Plant the carrot, wheat, and tomato seeds into the designated ground spots. Make sure to water each crop properly with your Royal Watering Can and wait for them to fully mature.
Troubleshooting Common Puzzle Glitches
Many players accidentally plant the wrong seeds or harvest the crops too early. If incorrect crops are planted, wait until they finish growing, harvest them, and dig fresh holes with your shovel. Do not harvest the correct crops once they mature, as the barrier will only open while all three plants remain fully grown in the ground simultaneously.
Unlocking the Barrier and Moving Forward
Once all three plants reach full maturity at the same time, the magical barrier will automatically dispel. You can then harvest your crops, as you will need them to craft the recipe required for the third gate puzzle right below. With this second obstacle cleared, you move one step closer to retrieving the Orb of Power and restoring Dazzle Beach.
